A report from the COVID-19 Task Force shows that mask compliance in offices is the highest among other crowded locations in Central Java, reaching 97.68% during the period of December 6-12, 2021.
Other crowded locations with mask compliance rates above 90% are stations and public sports facilities/RPTRA (Community-Based Integrated Public Spaces). Mask compliance percentages in these two locations were 97.38% and 97.01%, respectively.
Places of worship and schools had mask compliance rates of 96.2% and 92.73%, respectively. Meanwhile, malls had a mask compliance rate of 91.9%.
The crowded location with the lowest average mask compliance rate in Central Java was terminals, at only 74.95%.
Monitoring of health protocol implementation was conducted on 202,960 individuals at 16,956 points across 24 regencies/cities in Central Java from December 6-12, 2021. Overall, mask compliance in Central Java is quite high, with 12 regions exhibiting mask compliance rates of 91-100%.
The use of masks, especially double-layered masks or N95 type masks, is crucial in preventing the transmission of the coronavirus. Furthermore, the public is urged to maintain physical distancing, wash their hands with soap, avoid crowds, and limit mobility.
