The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 121 districts/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 0.12 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Sunday, November 13, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest agglomeration death rates due to COVID-19, exceeding 1.55 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Mahakam Ulu (3.73 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tana Tidung (3.25 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Prabumulih City (2.54 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tomohon City (1.81 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Sawahlunto City (1.55 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
The national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily agglomeration death rate higher than previous figures was recorded in 17 districts/cities, while seven districts/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to COVID-19 include Mahakam Ulu (3.73 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tana Tidung (3.25 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Prabumulih City (2.54 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
