Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Confirmed Positive Cases Nationally (Wednesday, September 14, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 134 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 2.92 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Wednesday, September 14, 2022).

The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 22.81 per 100,000 population/week are Teluk Bintuni, Tomohon City, Madiun City, Tangerang, and East Jakarta City, with values of 50.62, 37.13, 24.11, 22.81, and 22.81 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. 77 districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 81 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.

Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Teluk Bintuni, Tomohon City, and Sabang City, with confirmed positive cases of 50.62, 37.13, and 19.96 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
