The top five, starting from the highest number of specimens examined per week, are Bandar Lampung City (971 specimens), Cirebon City (893 specimens), Palangkaraya City (870 specimens), Kediri (868 specimens), and Deli Serdang (845 specimens).
Bandar Lampung City ranks first, with 971 specimens examined per week. The latest positive rate is 2.71 percent, a decrease compared to the previous week.
Next is Cirebon City. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 893 specimens were examined per week. The positive rate in this region is recorded at three percent, an increase compared to the previous week's percentage.
Furthermore, the number of specimens examined in Palangkaraya City was 870 per week, 868 in Kediri, and 845 in Deli Serdang.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 91 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of daily specimen examinations than before. Meanwhile, 106 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of specimen examinations compared to the previous week.
Outside Java, some regions with the highest number of specimens examined include Bandar Lampung City, Palangkaraya City, and Deli Serdang, with 971, 870, and 845 specimens examined, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
