The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 37 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.59 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 2.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong, Sukamara, Bangli, Fakfak, and Tegal City, with respective values of 5.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 4.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.03 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.42 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 2.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient use was recorded in eight regencies/cities, while eight other regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Sorong, Sukamara, and Bangli, with inpatient use of 5.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 4.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 3.03 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
