In Denpasar City in 2023, per capita weekly expenditure on instant noodles was Rp2,821.32. This represents an increase compared to the previous year's figure of Rp2,772.39 per capita per week.

The four largest expenditure categories for other food groups in Denpasar City, ranked from highest to lowest weekly per capita spending, are: instant noodles at Rp2,821.32, crackers at Rp530.24, baby porridge at Rp92.03, and other items at Rp87.76.

Average per capita expenditure refers to the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized as food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure.
