West Java Province recorded an addition of 346 Covid-19 cases on Thursday, September 16, 2021. This increase was the highest compared to other provinces. However, today's increase was smaller than yesterday's, which amounted to 384 cases.
The next highest Covid-19 increases in the top five were East Java with 335 cases, Central Java with 293 cases, North Sumatra with 215 cases, and DKI Jakarta with 176 cases.
The total increase from the top 10 provinces reached 1,970 people (63%). The remaining increase in the other 24 provinces amounted to 1,175 people (37%). Today, 28 provinces recorded a decrease in the number of cases compared to yesterday, while six other provinces experienced an increase.

During the pandemic, the cumulative number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indonesia has reached 4.18 million. The number of active cases is currently 73,238. This number of active cases has decreased compared to the previous day, which was 84,963.
According to the Ministry of Health, as of Thursday, September 16, 2021, 3.97 million people have been declared recovered from Covid-19, and a total of 139,920 Covid-19 deaths have been reported.
