The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 43 regencies/cities with a number of agglomeration deaths due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, July 8, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest number of agglomeration deaths due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.19 per 100,000 population per week, are Barito Timur (0.78 per 100,000 population per week), Pangkajene Kepulauan (0.29 per 100,000 population per week), Manggarai (0.28 per 100,000 population per week), Pasaman Barat (0.21 per 100,000 population per week), and Lumajang (0.19 per 100,000 population per week).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the number of agglomeration deaths due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. The number of daily agglomeration deaths due to Covid-19 higher than before was recorded in 0 regencies/cities, and one regency/city recorded a lower number of agglomeration deaths due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of agglomeration deaths due to Covid-19 include Barito Timur (0.78 per 100,000 population per week), Pangkajene Kepulauan (0.29 per 100,000 population per week), and Manggarai (0.28 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
