The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 118 districts/cities with an agglomeration population death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.09 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Thursday, November 24, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest agglomeration population death rate due to Covid-19, exceeding 1.08 per 100,000 population per week, are Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (2.03 per 100,000 population per week), Pakpak Bharat (1.9 per 100,000 population per week), Berau (1.69 per 100,000 population per week), Ngada (1.18 per 100,000 population per week), and Bontang City (1.08 per 100,000 population per week).
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the agglomeration population death rate due to Covid-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. Seven districts/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration population death rate due to Covid-19 than previously, while eight districts/cities recorded a lower rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration population death rate due to Covid-19 include Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (2.03 per 100,000 population per week), Pakpak Bharat (1.9 per 100,000 population per week), and Berau (1.69 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
