Only 22.95 percent of the target population in South Kalimantan has received their first dose of the vaccine.

As of Friday, September 17, 2021, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in South Kalimantan province reached 22.95 percent. This figure is equivalent to 725,400 vaccine recipients out of a target of 3.16 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination coverage reached 13.44 percent of the target.

Based on target groups, the vaccination details to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group has a target of 26,570 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 26,570 people (124.05 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 115.56 percent or 30,710 people were vaccinated.

Public sector workers have a target of 319,780 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 324,270 people (101.41 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 63.41 percent, or 202,780 people.

The elderly target is 258,550 people. For the first dose, 30,650 people have received the vaccine (11.85 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 7.78 percent, or 20,130 people.

The target for the vulnerable general public is 2.15 million people. For the first dose, 300,420 people have reportedly received the vaccine (15.14 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 7.6 percent, or 148,210 people.

Another target group is adolescents aged 12-17 years, with a target of 402,120 people. For the first dose, 11,320 people have received the vaccine (2.82 percent of the target). The second dose reached only 1.9 percent, or 7,643 people.
