East Java recorded the highest number of COVID-19 deaths in Indonesia. As of Wednesday, July 7, 2021, the total death toll reached 13,350 cases.
Other provinces with the largest increases were Central Java, DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Riau. These four provinces showed an average increase of 7,218 cases.
Regarding the number of positive cases, East Java recorded 184,620, with 13,940 still undergoing treatment. This province ranks fourth in the number of cases. The number of new positive cases today is 13,350.
Central Java is currently in second place. Central Java recorded 276,590 COVID-19 cases, with 45,980 still undergoing treatment. In this region, the largest number of COVID-19 patients are in the 31-45 age group, followed by the 46-59 age group.
The smallest reported number is in the 46-59 age group. The number of reported recovered patients is 218,480. Patients in this region are predominantly female, with 54% compared to 46% male. Furthermore, the number of COVID-19 deaths reported is 12,130.
DKI Jakarta is currently in third place. DKI Jakarta recorded 610,290 COVID-19 cases, with 100,120 still undergoing treatment. The number of reported recovered patients is 501,180.
The number of male and female patients in this province is relatively similar. Furthermore, the number of COVID-19 deaths reported is 8,996.
West Java is in fourth place. The number of cases in this region is recorded at 425,210, with 340,680 recovered, 78,770 still undergoing treatment, and 5,753 reported deaths. In this region, the largest number of COVID-19 patients are in the 31-45 age group, followed by the 19-30 age group. The smallest reported number is in the 19-30 age group.
Riau is in fifth place. The number of cases to date is recorded at 73,720, with 67,480 recovered, 4,250 still undergoing treatment, and 1,996 reported deaths.
