According to the Ministry of Health, a third dose or booster of the Covid-19 vaccine can maintain immunity levels and extend the body's protection against the risk of coronavirus infection.
However, not all citizens agree with this additional vaccination.
A survey by Indikator Politik Indonesia shows that 50.7% of respondents agree and 10.8% strongly agree with the booster vaccination.
On the other hand, 25.8% of respondents disagree with the booster vaccine, and 6.4% strongly disagree.
The highest rejection rate comes from respondents with an income below Rp1 million, at 40.6%. Significant rejection also comes from the Rp1 million-Rp2 million income group, at 35.7%.
Meanwhile, 23.2% of respondents with an income of Rp2 million to Rp4 million rejected the third dose vaccine. The lowest rejection rate comes from respondents with an income above Rp4 million, at 17.4%.
The survey was conducted from January 15 to February 17, 2022. 626 respondents participated, completing an online questionnaire. The margin of error is approximately 4% with a 95% confidence level.
