The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 170 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 3.53 percent (data as of Friday, August 12, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 18.18 percent are Barito Timur, Barito Selatan, Kapuas, Palangkaraya City, and Pulang Pisau, with values of 29.03 percent, 28.57 percent, 27.38 percent, 18.55 percent, and 18.18 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 141 districts/cities, while 104 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Barito Timur, Barito Selatan, and Kapuas, with seven-day positivity rates of 29.03 percent, 28.57 percent, and 27.38 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
