The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 90 districts/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.04 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, August 26, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.63 per 100,000 population per week, are Ternate City, Fakfak, Central Buton, East Belitung, and West Coast, with respective rates of 1.64, 1.21, 1.07, 0.76, and 0.63 per 100,000 population per week.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. Eight districts/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than previously, while 11 districts/cities recorded a lower rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Ternate City, Fakfak, and Central Buton, with rates of 1.64, 1.21, and 1.07 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
