Several districts/cities in East Kalimantan province still record a relatively low second-dose vaccination rate compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Kutai Timur, Paser, and Mahakam Ulu regencies.
As of yesterday's data, these three regencies have only completed 243,790 second doses out of the expected target of 569,040 vaccine recipients.
Kutai Timur Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, only 42.4% of the target population in this region has received their second dose, the lowest among the 10 other districts/cities. The first dose, however, has reached 71%, with 381,210 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 333,960 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in Kutai Timur was 1,677 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 29,561 doses.
Next is Paser Regency. For the second dose, this area has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 209,560 vaccine recipients, only 42.9% or 89,957 participants have received their second dose.
The first dose has reached 63.4%, with 224,480 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in Paser was 1,027 participants. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 37,902 doses.
Mahakam Ulu Regency is ranked third. With a target of 25,524 vaccine recipients, only 48.1% or 12,285 participants have received their second dose.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in East Kalimantan has reached 74.84%, with 2.15 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 54.56%, covering 1.57 million vaccine recipients.
