The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 87 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.05 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, September 9, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.93 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Minahasa Tenggara, Tomohon City, Padang Panjang City, Magelang City, and Pangkal Pinang City, with respective rates of 3.74 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.81 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.77 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.64 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.93 deaths per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 higher than previous figures was recorded in one regency/city, while 12 regencies/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 include Minahasa Tenggara, Tomohon City, and Padang Panjang City, with respective rates of 3.74 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.81 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 1.77 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
