At that time, Palu's air quality was categorized as "good," meaning pollutant levels in the air were very minimal. Sanggau followed in second place with an AQI of 39, and Mamuju was third with an AQI of 40.
Below is a complete list of the 10 cities with the cleanest air quality in Indonesia according to KLHK on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 7:00 PM WIB:

2. Sanggau (West Kalimantan): 39
3. Mamuju (West Sulawesi): 40
4. Bulungan (North Kalimantan): 45
5. Banda Aceh (Aceh): 46

While these cities had the cleanest air quality nationally, not all cities had good air quality.
Based on the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 14 of 2020 concerning the Air Pollutant Standard Index, KLHK classifies the Air Quality Index as follows:

* 101-200: Unhealthy
* 201-300: Very Unhealthy
* 300+: Hazardous
Therefore, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 7:00 PM WIB, cities with good air quality were Palu, Sanggau, Mamuju, Bulungan, Banda Aceh, Ambon, and Manokwari. The other three cities, Tanjung Pinang, Ternate, and Indragiri Hilir, had moderate air quality.
