Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Seven-Day Positivity Rate Nationwide (Wednesday, October 26, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 194 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 7.72 percent (data as of Wednesday, October 26, 2022).

The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 40 percent are Pahuwato, Toli Toli, Banggai Laut, North Halmahera, and Majene, with values of 73.91 percent, 65.31 percent, 57.14 percent, 50 percent, and 40 percent respectively.

A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 171 districts/cities, while 104 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Pahuwato, Toli Toli, and Banggai Laut, with seven-day positivity rates of 73.91 percent, 65.31 percent, and 57.14 percent respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
