Based on data from the Integrated Hajj Information and Computerization System (Siskohat) as of June 26, 2023, there were 209,782 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims who departed for the Holy Land in 2023.
This year's Indonesian Hajj pilgrims were dominated by women, with 55.1% women and 44.9% men.
Based on their last educational attainment, Siskohat recorded that Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in 2023 were dominated by elementary school (SD) graduates, totaling 67,543 pilgrims.
Furthermore, there were 23,819 junior high school (SLTP) graduates, 50,252 senior high school (SLTA) graduates, 12,056 diploma graduates, 46,793 bachelor's degree (S1) graduates, 7,403 master's degree (S2) graduates, 537 doctoral degree (S3) graduates, 1,379 graduates from other educational levels, and 3 pilgrims without recorded educational background.
Siskohat also recorded that of the total 209,782 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims who departed for the Holy Land this year, 98.34% were first-time pilgrims and 1.66% had performed the Hajj pilgrimage before.
