The Indonesian government has distributed 90,988,817 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to 34 provinces across Indonesia. Of this total, 68,641,750 doses, or 75%, had been used by August 2, 2021.
East Java utilized the most corona vaccines, at 10,856,522 doses. This is equivalent to 82% of the 13,224,350 doses distributed to the province.
DKI Jakarta followed, having used 10,457,888 doses. This represents 80% of the 13,139,260 doses of the corona vaccine delivered to the capital city.
West Java utilized 8,971,590 doses of the corona vaccine. This is equivalent to 77% of the 11,607,220 vaccines distributed to West Java.
Central Java utilized 8,037,103 doses of the corona vaccine. This amounts to 88% of the 9,113,340 doses delivered to the province.
Bali is in fifth place, having utilized 3,972,383 doses of the vaccine. This represents 92% of the 4,336,520 vaccines sent to the island.
Meanwhile, the lowest vaccine utilization was in North Kalimantan, at 139,944 doses. This is because only 168,640 doses of the corona vaccine were sent to the province.
A similar situation occurred in eastern Indonesia. North Maluku, for example, has only used 154,546 doses of the corona vaccine. This is equivalent to 70% of the 221,360 vaccines sent to the province.
West Papua has only used 222,757 doses of the corona vaccine. This represents 70% of the 319,280 doses of the corona vaccine distributed to West Papua.
Although the corona vaccination program is underway, the public must remain disciplined in implementing the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. This is important to prevent the spread of corona.
