The Ministry of Health reported an additional 2,577 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases on Monday, September 13, 2021. Eight provinces recorded increases of over 90 cases. Four of these provinces are located in Java and three in Sumatra.
The highest increase was reported in Central Java, reaching 353 cases. This was followed by East Java with 318 cases, West Java with 210 cases, DKI Jakarta with 187 cases, and North Sumatra with 128 cases.

The total increase from the top eight provinces reached 1,543 cases (60%). The remaining 864 cases (34%) were added across the other 26 provinces.
During the pandemic, the cumulative number of positive COVID-19 cases in Indonesia has reached 4.17 million. The current number of active cases is 109,870, a decrease from 115,680 the previous day.
According to the Ministry of Health, 3.93 million people have recovered from COVID-19, and a total of 139,000 COVID-19 deaths have been reported.
