The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 89 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 0.05 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.82 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Pakpak Bharat, Pariaman City, North Minahasa, West Bangka, and Probolinggo City, with respective values of 1.9 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.08 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.98 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.93 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.82 deaths per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. Two regencies/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than previously, while three regencies/cities recorded lower rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Pakpak Bharat, Pariaman City, and North Minahasa, with respective rates of 1.9 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.08 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.98 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
