The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 23 districts/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.36 patients per 100,000 population/week (data as of Thursday, February 16, 2023).
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 1.2 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Cimahi City, Blitar City, Kutai Barat, Blitar, and Tegal City, with values of 1.47, 1.37, 1.32, 1.28, and 1.2 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most districts/cities outside Java. Three districts/cities recorded higher daily inpatient use than before, while one district/city recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Kutai Barat, Sorong, and Alor, with inpatient use of 1.32, 1.02, and 0.95 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
