Several districts/cities in North Sumatra province still record quite low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include North Nias Regency, North Labuhanbatu Regency, and Mandailing Natal Regency.
As of yesterday's data, these three regencies have only completed 274,640 second doses out of the expected target of 752,700 vaccine recipients.
North Nias Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, only 29.49% of the target population in this region has received their second dose, the lowest among the other 33 districts/cities. The first dose has reached 77.26%, or 121,210 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this regency targets 112,310 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in North Nias last week was 990 participants. Currently, there are 79,736 doses of vaccine in stock.
Next is North Labuhanbatu Regency. For the second dose, this area has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 288,620 vaccine recipients, only 37.26% or 107,540 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first dose has reached 74.36%, or 227,490 vaccine recipients.
Mandailing Natal Regency is ranked third. With a target of 351,780 vaccine recipients, only 38.09% or 133,980 recipients have received their second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Mandailing Natal last week was 1,191 participants. The current vaccine stock is 114,620 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in North Sumatra has reached 90.39%, or 10.32 million vaccine recipients. The second dose has reached 63.29%, covering 7.23 million vaccine recipients.
