Papua's First Dose Vaccination Reaches 30.23 Percent of the Target

Papua Province's first dose vaccination coverage reached 30.23 percent on Saturday, August 13, 2022. This figure is equivalent to 886,440 vaccine recipients out of a target of 2.95 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 22.86 percent of the target as of yesterday.

Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group has a target of 19,530 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 19,530 people (101.32 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 95.92 percent or 18,730 people were vaccinated.

Public sector workers have a target of 289,920 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 155,230 people (53.54 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 46.27 percent, or 134,150 people.

Next, the elderly target is 177,360 people. For the first dose, it has been administered to 28,050 people (15.82 percent of the target). The second dose has only reached 12.07 percent, or 21,410 people.

The general vulnerable population target is 1.69 million people. For the first dose, vaccination has reportedly been administered to 518,130 people (31.42 percent of the target). The second dose has only reached 22.83 percent, or 373,530 people.

Another target group is adolescents aged 12-17 years. The target in this region is 407,850 people. For the first dose, 105,600 people have been vaccinated (25.89 percent of the target). The second dose has only reached 18.92 percent, or 77,180 people.
