The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 70 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.49 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 9.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Toli Toli, Kediri City, Mojokerto City, Yogyakarta City, and Magelang City, with respective values of 10.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.24 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.34 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.02 patients per 100,000 population/week.
The national Covid data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than before was recorded in 35 regencies/cities, while 25 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Toli Toli, Palu City, and Tomohon City, with respective inpatient use of 10.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.9 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.24 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the rate of coronavirus transmission.
