Top 10 Countries with the Most Omicron Cases Worldwide (Wednesday, December 14, 2022)

The Omicron (B.1.1.529) variant of the Covid-19 virus continues to spread globally, reaching 5.74 million cases by Wednesday, December 14, 2022. The United States recorded the highest number of Omicron cases, with weekly growth reaching 1.37 percent. GISAID recorded 2 million Omicron cases in the US. Daily cases in this region increased by 0.26 percent compared to the previous day.

Next is the United Kingdom, which recorded 0.35 percent more Omicron cases compared to the previous week. Daily Omicron cases in the UK increased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous day.

Omicron cases in Germany increased by 0.57 percent to 491,030 cases compared to the previous week. Denmark recorded 331,260 Omicron cases (up 1.02%), and France saw a 1.11 percent increase in Omicron cases, reaching 311,190 compared to the previous week.

As for Indonesia, the number of Omicron cases recorded to date is 30,369, a 0.37 percent increase compared to the previous day. Since it was first monitored, Omicron cases in Indonesia have continued to rise.
