As of Tuesday, October 12, 2021, a total of 162.41 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered nationwide. This includes 101.67 million first doses, 58.72 million second doses, and 2.01 million doses administered through community-based vaccination programs.
For healthcare workers, 1.99 million individuals (135.81% of the target) have received the first dose, and 1.86 million (126.76% of the target) have received the second dose. A third dose has been recommended and administered to 1.03 million healthcare workers (70.06% of the target).
Regarding public sector workers, 27.93 million individuals (161.17% of the target) have received the first dose, and 21.64 million (124.88% of the target) have received the second dose.
Elderly individuals were prioritized in the initial vaccination phase. To date, 7.17 million (33.29% of the target) have received the first dose, and 4.65 million (21.59% of the target) have received the second dose.
Starting in July 2021, the government also targeted vulnerable and general populations. For this group, 59.37 million people (42.82% of the target) have received the first dose, and 26.66 million (19.53% of the target) have received the second dose.
Finally, for adolescents aged 12-17 years, 4.11 million (15.39% of the target) have received the first dose, and 2.98 million (11.16% of the target) have received the second dose.
