The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 86 districts/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 0.05 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Sunday, August 21, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.76 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Fakfak, Tanah Laut, South Minahasa, East Minahasa, and East Belitung, with respective rates of 2.42, 1.14, 0.94, 0.93, and 0.76 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 higher than previous days was recorded in two districts/cities, while 13 districts/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 include Fakfak, Tanah Laut, and South Minahasa, with respective rates of 2.42, 1.14, and 0.94 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
