Coverage of Iron Supplement Tablet Provision for Indonesian Adolescent Girls in 2024

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) reported that the coverage of iron-folic acid tablet (TTD) provision for adolescent girls in Indonesia reached 90.66% in 2024.

Referring to Circular Letter of the Director-General of Public Health No. HK.03.03/V/0595/2016 concerning the Provision of Iron-Folic Acid Tablets to Adolescent Girls and Women of Childbearing Age, the distribution of TTD is carried out through schools with a dosage of one tablet every week for one year.

This program aims to prevent anemia in adolescent girls who are prone to blood deficiency due to their monthly menstrual cycle.

Out of 38 provinces, 17 provinces exceeded the national average in terms of coverage.

West Sumatra has the highest coverage at 106.27%, while Highland Papua has the lowest at 2.01%.
