The Indonesian government has set seven targets for the free health check-up (PKG) program in 2025.
These targets are stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 79 of 2025 concerning the Update of the Government Work Plan for 2025, which was enacted and promulgated on June 30, 2025.
The government's targets for the implementation of the 2025 PKG program are as follows:
- Recipients of PKG in the newborn age group to reach 65%
- Recipients of PKG in the toddler and preschool age group to reach 50%
- Recipients of PKG in the elderly age group to reach 50%
- Regencies/cities with PKG coverage exceeding 80% to reach 40%
- Overall PKG coverage to reach 36%
- Recipients of PKG in the adult age group to reach 35%
- Recipients of PKG in the school-age and adolescent group to reach 20%
The government stated that the PKG program is an effort to support early detection, disease prevention, and reduce the potential burden of disease control costs for the community.
According to the government, the PKG program is implemented through life cycle interventions, namely newborns (2 days), toddlers and preschool children (1-6 years), school-age and adolescents (7-17 years), adults (18-59 years), and the elderly (over 60 years).
