Child Immunization Coverage in Raja Ampat Rarely Exceeds 90% (2020-2024)

The Raja Ampat District Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in West Papua Daya Province recorded the percentage of immunization coverage for infants aged 0-59 months, categorized by vaccine type.

These types include Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) immunization, which prevents tuberculosis (TB). Then there's Diphtheria, Pertussis, and Tetanus (DPT) immunization, aimed at protecting children from diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus.

Further immunizations include polio to prevent polio, measles (or morbilli) to prevent measles, and Hepatitis B to prevent liver disease.

From 2020-2024, immunization coverage exceeding 90% was achieved only three times.

In 2020, only BCG immunization reached 90%. In 2021, none of the five types of immunization reached 90%.

The same applied to 2022 and 2023, where none of the five immunizations for infants aged 0-59 months in Raja Ampat District reached 90%.

Meanwhile, in 2024, immunization coverage exceeding 90% was only achieved for BCG and polio immunizations.
