The top five, starting from the highest, are Surakarta City, Balikpapan City, Mimika, Tarakan City, and Jayapura City, with ratios of 595.95 percent, 549.22 percent, 485.27 percent, 362.41 percent, and 320.45 percent, respectively.
Surakarta City ranks first. With a population of 519,800, the weekly testing percentage here was recorded at 595.95 percent. The latest positive rate is 2.43 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Next is Balikpapan City. The population in this region is recorded at 646,020. In an effort to counter the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage was 549.22 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 6.02 percent, or higher than the previous week's percentage.
Furthermore, the weekly testing percentage in Mimika was recorded at 485.27 percent, 362.41 percent in Tarakan City, and 320.45 percent in Jayapura City.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 21 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report a higher daily weekly testing percentage than before. Meanwhile, 188 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly testing percentage compared to the previous week's testing.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue to participate in reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the rate of coronavirus transmission.
