As of Wednesday, October 20, 2021, a total of 176.99 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered nationwide. This includes 110.03 million first doses, 64.85 million second doses, and 2.11 million doses administered through the "gotong royong" (community-based) vaccination program.
A total of 2 million healthcare workers have received their first dose (136.35% of the target), and 1.88 million have received their second dose (127.83% of the target). Furthermore, 1.08 million healthcare workers (73.87% of the target) have received a third dose, as recommended by the government.
For public sector workers, 27.96 million individuals have received their first dose (161.36% of the target), and 22.24 million (128.33% of the target) have received their second dose.
Initially, the elderly were prioritized. To date, 7.81 million elderly individuals (36.22% of the target) have received their first dose, and 4.91 million (22.78% of the target) have received their second dose.
Starting in July 2021, the government also targeted vulnerable and general populations. For this group, 67.28 million individuals (48.45% of the target) have received their first dose, and 31.91 million (23.29% of the target) have received their second dose.
Finally, for adolescents aged 12-17 years, 3.84 million (14.4% of the target) have received their first dose, and 2.94 million (11.02% of the target) have received their second dose.
