The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that there are 23 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 0.51 percent as of Friday, March 3, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 18.71 percent are Surabaya City, Tasikmalaya City, Malang City, West Jakarta City, and East Jakarta City, with values of 27.5 percent, 22 percent, 21 percent, 19.5 percent, and 18.71 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily tracing rate higher than before was recorded in one regency/city, while two regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Balikpapan City, Makassar City, and Tarakan City, with tracing rates of 15.5 percent, 8 percent, and 1.67 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
