The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 131 districts/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at 3.47 percent as of Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
The five top districts/cities with figures exceeding 27.25 percent are West Lombok, Cianjur, Ponorogo, Pasuruan City, and Metro City, with values of 39 percent, 29.5 percent, 28 percent, 28 percent, and 27.25 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in 24 districts/cities, while 28 districts/cities recorded lower tracing figures.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include West Lombok, Metro City, and Simalungun, with tracing figures of 39 percent, 27.25 percent, and 22.42 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
