The Productive Micro Business Presidential Assistance Program (BPUM) is a program providing assistance to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) throughout Indonesia. This social assistance program provided Rp 1.2 million per business to 12.8 million business owners.
A Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) survey shows that the majority, or 87.6%, of respondents found the BPUM disbursement process easy. Only 12.4% of respondents reported difficulties in the BPUM disbursement process.
The most dominant difficulty experienced by respondents was long queues at the bank, cited by 63%. 10.4% of respondents found it difficult to fulfill the verification documents required for BPUM.
Furthermore, 9.3% of respondents found it difficult to withdraw BPUM due to the bank's distance from their residence. 2.7% of respondents admitted to not having a savings account with BRI to withdraw BPUM.
0.5% of respondents had difficulty withdrawing BPUM due to being unable to go to the bank and having no one to represent them. 0.3% of respondents had difficulty withdrawing BPUM because their names were not listed in the BRI system. Meanwhile, 13.8% of respondents experienced difficulties due to other factors.
Moreover, the majority, or 88.1%, of respondents considered the BPUM disbursement time to be relatively fast. Only 11.9% of respondents considered the BPUM disbursement to be slow.
