The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 22 regencies/cities with a number of deaths due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Monday, February 6, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths, exceeding 0.35 per 100,000 population per week, are Tomohon City, Kutai Barat, Salatiga City, Malaka, and Banda Aceh City, with values of 0.89, 0.66, 0.49, 0.49, and 0.35 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the number of Covid-19 deaths in most regencies/cities outside Java. No regencies/cities recorded a higher daily number of Covid-19 deaths than previously.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths include Tomohon City, Kutai Barat, and Malaka, with 0.89, 0.66, and 0.49 deaths per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
