Cirebon Regency Had 12 Hospitals in 2020

The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has increased the number of people requiring treatment at healthcare facilities. Therefore, the availability of adequate healthcare facilities is crucial at this time.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), there were 12 hospitals in Cirebon Regency in 2020. These were spread across nine sub-districts.

There were also 78 polyclinics spread across 31 sub-districts in Cirebon Regency. Furthermore, 58 community health centers (puskesmas) were spread across 39 sub-districts in the region.

Cirebon Regency also has 81 puskesmas pembantu (community health sub-centers) spread across all sub-districts. In addition, there are 153 pharmacies throughout the sub-districts of Cirebon Regency.

For information, Cirebon Regency is located in West Java, covering an area of 1,072.29 square kilometers (km) divided into 40 sub-districts. Kapetakan sub-district is the largest in Cirebon Regency, with an area of 67.04 km² or 6.25%.

This regency, which borders Central Java, has a population of 2.27 million. This comprises 1.15 million males and 1.12 million females.
