The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 33 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.96 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, July 10, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 4.03 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, West Jakarta, Magelang City, and Denpasar City, with respective values of 10.83 patients per 100,000 population/week, 6.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, 4.88 patients per 100,000 population/week, 4.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 4.03 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient use higher than previously recorded was observed in 13 regencies/cities, while four regencies/cities showed lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Denpasar City, Banjar, and Palangkaraya City, with inpatient use of 4.03 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.33 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 3.04 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
