The top five, starting from the highest, are Simalungun, Central Maluku, Paser, Serang City, and East Kotawaringin, with 995, 987, 983, 980, and 975 tests per week respectively.
Simalungun ranks first. With a population of 877,710, the number of people tested in the last week was 995 per week. The latest positive rate is 0.1 percent, lower than the previous week.
Next is Central Maluku. The population is 376,480. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 987 people were tested per week. The positive rate is 0 percent, also lower than the previous week.
Following this, Paser recorded 983 tests per week, Serang City 980, and East Kotawaringin 975.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 126 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of daily tests in the last week compared to the previous week.
