The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 36 districts/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently at 0.78 percent as of Friday, January 27, 2023.
The top five districts/cities with rates exceeding 19.43 percent are Surabaya City, West Lombok, Semarang City, West Jakarta City, and East Jakarta City, with values of 31 percent, 28 percent, 25 percent, 19.79 percent, and 19.43 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing rates higher than previous days were recorded in three districts/cities, while three others recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include West Lombok, Jambi City, and North Tapanuli, with tracing rates of 28 percent, 15 percent, and 15 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
