The highest increase in confirmed positive Covid-19 cases in West Java currently occurred in Bekasi City, with 75.37 cases per 100,000 people per week as of Thursday, August 11, 2022. This figure is four cases higher than the second-highest region.
The Covid-19 transmission situation in Bekasi City does not appear to be improving. This is indicated by the number of cases this week, which is still higher than the previous week's figure of 74.69 cases per 100,000 people per week.
Depok City is in second place, recording 70.82 weekly confirmed cases per 100,000 people. Compared to last week's 73.32 cases, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases this week is lower.
Rounding out the top five, besides the two regions above, are Bogor City, Bandung City, and Cimahi City, recording 52.45, 34.38, and 25.72 weekly confirmed cases, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Bekasi Regency, Bogor Regency, Sukabumi City, and West Bandung Regency. These areas recorded an average increase of more than seven cases per 100,000 people.
Other information from today's daily Covid-19 data statistics shows that 230 regencies/cities in Indonesia recorded a higher increase compared to last week, and 143 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly confirmations than the previous week.
Furthermore, 150 regencies/cities in Indonesia currently report no confirmed Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people per week.
