Food Consumption Inadequacy Rate in Batu City Residents Decreased by 3.49% in 2024

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in Batu City, East Java, was 3.49% in 2024.

This figure decreased by 1.6% from the previous year's 5.09%, while over the last 5 years, it decreased by 1.5%.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 8.27% in 2024. This means that the PoU in Batu City is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.
