The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 156 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 3.34 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Thursday, October 27, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 19.53 per 100,000 population/week are Balikpapan City, Belu Regency, Kupang City, West Kutai Regency, and Bekasi City, with values of 46.13, 24.81, 20.65, 19.89, and 19.53 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. An increase in daily confirmed positive cases compared to previous figures was recorded in 100 districts/cities, while 96 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive case rates include Balikpapan City, Belu Regency, and Kupang City, with confirmed positive cases of 46.13, 24.81, and 20.65 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
