Residents of These 9 Countries Will Maintain Social Distancing Even After Vaccination

A World Economic Forum (WEF) and Ipsos survey shows that a majority of respondents in nine countries will continue to practice social distancing in public places, even after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.

Mexico had the highest percentage of respondents (86%) who confirmed they would maintain social distancing after vaccination. Brazil followed closely behind, with 84% of respondents stating the same.

Italy (83%), the UK (82%), France (81%), and Spain (80%) also showed high percentages of respondents who would continue social distancing post-vaccination.

Japan and Germany both recorded 78% of respondents who would continue social distancing, while the United States had the lowest percentage at 75%.

Beyond social distancing, a significant majority of respondents also intend to continue wearing masks even after vaccination. Mexico again reported the highest percentage at 85%, while Germany had the lowest at 61%.

The WEF and Ipsos conducted this online survey from June 3-6, 2021, involving 12,497 respondents under the age of 75 in nine countries.
