The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 74 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.03 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.53 per 100,000 population per week, are Gorontalo Utara (0.89 per 100,000 population per week), Mamuju Tengah (0.71 per 100,000 population per week), Bintan (0.6 per 100,000 population per week), Seram Bagian Barat (0.58 per 100,000 population per week), and Buleleng (0.53 per 100,000 population per week).
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. An increase in the daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 compared to previous figures was recorded in 14 regencies/cities, while four regencies/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 include Gorontalo Utara (0.89 per 100,000 population per week), Mamuju Tengah (0.71 per 100,000 population per week), and Bintan (0.6 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
