Several districts/cities in East Nusa Tenggara province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Kupang Regency, Central Sumba Regency, and Alor Regency.
As of Wednesday, January 19, 2022, these three regions had only completed 324,870 first doses of the vaccine out of a target of 487,680 vaccine recipients.
Kupang Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed 66.1% of its vaccination program. This is the lowest rate among the other 22 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 281,420 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this region last week was 1,439 participants. The available vaccine stock is 39,284 doses.
Next is Central Sumba Regency, which has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a target of 57,941 vaccine recipients, vaccination in this region has reached 66.3%, or 38,412 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 367 participants. The available vaccine stock is 7,416 doses.
Alor Regency is ranked third. With a target of 148,320 vaccine recipients, vaccination in this region has reached 67.8%, or 100,550 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 1,132 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 18,212 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in East Nusa Tenggara has reached 74.59%, covering 2,860,000 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 41.31%, covering 1,580,000 vaccine recipients.
