The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 68.89 million doses of booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Thursday, January 12, 2023. This figure represents 29.36 percent of the national Covid-19 vaccination target. The national Covid-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in Covid-19 booster vaccinations nationwide yesterday was recorded at 3,130 doses.
Based on provinces, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.68 million doses. Bogor Regency has the highest number of Covid-19 booster vaccine recipients in West Java, with 1.61 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.11 million), Bekasi City (993,900), Bekasi Regency (991,650), Cianjur Regency (929,180), and Bandung City (905,110).
In other regions, East Java is in second place nationally with 9.28 million booster vaccine doses administered. Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients in this province, with 1.3 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.58 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by North Sumatra (3.78 million doses), Banten (3.02 million doses), and Bali (1.97 million doses).
