- Central Java recorded an additional 3,126 cases
Central Java ranks third. The increase in cases here was recorded at 3,126, a 0.52 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 600,190. With this addition, the total number of cases in this province is now 603,310.
In addition to recording the highest number of new cases, Central Java also recorded 87 deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in Central Java has reached 31,748. The trend of case development in this region over the past week has decreased. This condition can be seen from the lower confirmation rate per 100,000 population compared to last week.
Similarly, the positive rate in this region is recorded as lower than before. According to the Ministry of Health, the occupancy rate (BOR) of Covid-19 hospitals in this province is recorded at 32 percent.
- North Sumatra recorded an additional 686 cases
The ninth highest increase in cases was in North Sumatra. In this province, the increase in cases today was 686, a 0.46 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 149,700.
